Pasta is a symbol of Italian gastronomy and a staple food that has evolved over the centuries. Each type of pasta has a unique history and a deep connection to the regions of Italy where it comes from. At Nicoletta, I am proud to offer a selection of pastas that capture the essence of this culinary tradition.

Pasta and its Variations

The spaghetti is probably the most recognized type of pasta worldwide, this long and thin pasta,  is often with a variety of sauces, from classic marinara to carbonara.

Penne, is a type of short and tubular pasta, with edges cut at an angle, is perfect for catching thick sauces such as ragu and arrabbiata.

Fusilli, with its distinctive spiral shape, is ideal for salads and dishes with sauces that adhere to its twists, ensuring that every bite is full of flavor.

Farfalle, also known as “butterfly pasta” or “loops”,  its unique shape makes it perfect for light summer dishes and pasta salads.

The lasagna is one of the oldest pastas, this dish is composed of layers of pasta, meat sauce, béchamel sauce and cheese, and is baked to a golden, crispy texture.
